Client Brief
The World Health Organisation commissioned us to produce a film that empowers people living with disabilities, and amplifies disability inclusion to be shared on their social channels. The film needed to highlight both physical barriers, like access to health facilities, and social challenges, such as discrimination.
Our Approach
With a tight budget (WHO has been suffering severe budget cuts for reasons we all know about..) we had to think of innovative ways to bring the story to life. With no filming possible we relied on library stock-shots and footage provided by the WHO. The key thing was to feature voices of real people living with different disabilities. So we worked on a strong script which we sent out across the WHO to receive submissions.
Impact and Results
“I just wanted to say a big thank you for the excellent WHO video you produced on disability inclusion. It’s being used far and wide by the organization!

The WHO Evaluation Animation was created to help World Health Organization staff understand the value of internal evaluation practices. The client wanted a clear and engaging way to explain processes that can feel complex or technical. Their brief asked for content that was accessible, educational, and visually appealing to a global audience while remaining light-hearted and approachable.
To achieve this, we worked closely with WHO to define the key message and ensure alignment with internal learning goals. We developed a hand-drawn 2D animation style that simplified concepts and illustrated them in a friendly, engaging way. The animations used simple characters, clear diagrams, and smooth motion to break down abstract evaluation processes into digestible visual steps. This method ensured viewers could follow the content while staying entertained and engaged.
We focused on clear narration and careful pacing. Each scene gave staff enough time to absorb the information without feeling rushed. We combined visuals and voiceover to reinforce key points and encourage retention. The design intentionally used culturally neutral illustrations and clear icons, ensuring accessibility for WHO employees worldwide.
The resulting WHO Evaluation Animation translates complex internal processes into a practical, memorable learning tool. It helps staff understand evaluation practices, why they matter, and how to apply them in their work. The film runs across multiple internal platforms, supporting training programs and reinforcing WHO’s commitment to effective internal processes.
By combining simple storytelling, hand-drawn animation, and thoughtful design, the WHO Evaluation Animation turns a technical topic into a visually engaging and enjoyable experience, making learning effective and memorable for staff around the world.

Client Brief
Health Action International asked us to create a film showing how Tanzania and Kyrgyzstan are tackling the diabetes crisis. The goal was to highlight innovative, community-led solutions that inspire governments and organizations worldwide to invest in diabetes care.
Our Approach
The film follows Lucy, a dedicated volunteer in Tanzania, and Baktygul, a nurse in Kyrgyzstan. Together, they empower their communities through education, care, and grassroots action. To achieve this, we partnered with skilled local crews in both countries. In Tanzania, our Managing Director, Steve, guided the storytelling on location. Meanwhile, in Kyrgyzstan, local filmmakers brought expertise and understanding of the healthcare context.
Through these collaborations, we captured the real impact of their work. For example, Lucy’s peer-to-peer education equips families and children to prevent and manage diabetes. At the same time, Baktygul’s advanced training allows nurses to deliver life-saving care directly to patients’ homes. Consequently, hospitals experience reduced pressure and shorter waiting times.
Impact and Results
As a result, the film shows how grassroots efforts and systemic solutions can work together to tackle global health challenges. Moreover, it highlights the power of women leading change in their communities. The audience gains a clear view of how local action creates measurable improvements in healthcare.
Overall, this Health Action International film celebrates collaboration, innovation, and the potential of community-driven solutions. By combining authentic storytelling, local expertise, and clear messaging, it encourages action. It also demonstrates how countries can successfully confront the diabetes crisis. Ultimately, it proves that small, local initiatives can have a significant, lasting impact on people’s lives.

This film looks at the success in overcoming a crippling disease that has besieged Nigeria, and large parts of Africa for decades. Onchocerciasis, commonly known as river blindness causes unbearable itching and ultimately blindness to the point where river-side communities were abandoned.
Thanks to the dedication of people like Nasarawa State Coordinator for Neglected Tropical Diseases, Jacob Righain, the support of NGO partners The Carter Center and donation of the treating drug Mectizan by Merck & Co., local communities have been empowered to break the transmission of river blindness and create a platform for future disease interventions.
Filmed just before the COVID-19 lockdown kicked in, we worked with a talented Nigerian crew to get right to the heart of the story. We edited back in the UK and created a bespoke soundtrack to help transport the viewer deeper into the world of neglected tropical diseases.
It forms part of a wider suite of films used in different ways that have told the Mectizan Donation Program story over the years, collaborating with multiple global partners from the Nigerian Ministry of Health and local government, to Sightsavers, the Carter Center and other key players in the game to get full engagement from the offset.

Merck Mectizan Donation Program Film
Client Brief
Merck asked us to create a film celebrating 5 billion Mectizan treatments donated for river blindness and elephantiasis. They wanted a piece to share with staff and show at their main factory in Haarlem. Therefore, the goal was to highlight the program’s scale, impact, and Merck’s long-term commitment.
Our Approach
First, we combined staff interviews from last year’s annual event with archival footage from years of filming the Mectizan Donation Program across multiple countries. This approach allowed us to show both the human and operational impact of the program.
Next, our MD, Steve Maud, composed a soundtrack called The Promise, inspired by Merck’s motto: “As much as needed, for as long as needed.” The music guided the narrative and emphasized the dedication behind the program. Additionally, by blending heartfelt interviews, historical footage, and cinematic visuals, we illustrated the difference 35 years of commitment has made to communities around the world.
Impact and Results
As a result, the film premiered at Merck’s annual event and received enthusiastic applause. It reinforced the Mectizan Donation Program as a cornerstone of Merck’s work and strengthened staff pride. Furthermore, the film helped secure additional funding for the program and increased awareness of the company’s global impact.
Overall, by telling the story of Merck’s long-term commitment, the film demonstrates how strategic content can educate, inspire, and celebrate at the same time. The Merck Mectizan Donation Program film commemorated a historic milestone and created a shared sense of purpose among staff. In this way, it made the scale and importance of the initiative tangible and meaningful for everyone who watched it.
