Gautier from The Green Londoner approached Cloud9Media with a challenge: to help Londoners engage with the truth about farmed salmon and take action.
With the nearest coast being 40 miles from us in London, we leapt at the challenge to deliver on the impossible. We worked on some visual prompts to get shock reactions and a cascade of questions to launch on an unsuspecting public – then we hit the roads.
The truth about Salmon farming is that it is an industry and commonplace. What they don’t tell you is the suffering the fish undergo, swimming in circles crowded like prisoners in the ocean. Sea-lice spreads, wide-reach antibiotics are administered and the salmon become ghosts of their former selves. We wanted to see what the public would say when they saw the truth.
Getting people to talk on camera takes enthusiasm and a strong sense of persuasion; hard when our pavements are crowded with charity-hunters. This was no obstacle for us though, as we are driven by a passion for seeing all creatures on this planet treated humanely – and love speaking to members of the public.
After a day of taking to the streets of London, we realised that while people were shocked, we couldn’t give any simple valuable alternatives. So this film is one of a series, as we go in search of the answers to farmed salmon alternatives from different players in the field, that us animal-conscious consumers will gobble up.
We’re now working with GSFR and Curious PR to seek wider funding and engagement with this bold but effective advocacy campaign.
So put down that cheap farmed salmon you just cooked
and sign up here to take action on stopping salmon farming now!

Earthfest 2025 video: Hope often starts with a simple act: imagining the world you want to see.
As EarthFest’s chosen film partner, we set up a stand to run a creative experiment – inviting people to step into their dream future and describe it in vivid detail. What does it sound like? Smell like? Feel like? this video from Earthfest 2025 asks this question.
We asked passersby to open up about their concerns and their hopes. Many began with, “Oh, you don’t want me on camera,” but soon found themselves sharing something honest and powerful. Everyone has something to say – our job is to help them feel safe enough to say it.
The result is Seeing is Believing – a short film exploring how visualising a better world can spark a genuine sense of hope. At a time when it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, this was a joyful, affirming reminder that change begins with imagination.

FICO World Intelligence Hero Interviews – Capturing the Voices of Attendees
Client Brief
FICO asked us to create a series of FICO World Intelligence Hero interviews to capture attendee insights and personal reflections during FICO World 2023. They wanted films that celebrated delegates as “heroes of change,” highlighting their connection to AI and innovation. The client also required content that was engaging, shareable, and suitable for multiple channels.
Our Approach
To deliver, we developed the Hero Booth, refined over years at large events. Delegates entered a quiet, soundproof space, where we asked questions designed to provoke spontaneous, genuine responses. The Hero Booth format encouraged attendees to speak authentically.
We opened the 1,500+ delegate event with a theme-setting film on AI and empowerment. Then, the Hero Booth interviews captured attendee reflections. We used these interviews to produce a closing film that reinforced the event’s themes and celebrated the impact of delegates’ work.
By asking all participants the same 3–5 questions, we created a series of FICO World Intelligence Hero interviews from a single session. Consequently, dozens of delegates could appear across multiple edits, providing content for social media and ongoing engagement. The careful editing, music, and sequencing highlighted human expression and made complex topics relatable.
Impact and Results
The Hero Booth transformed delegates into spokespeople and ambassadors. These films strengthened engagement, increased social sharing, and showcased innovation-driven work. Overall, the series demonstrates how human-focused storytelling can extend an event’s reach and give technology a relatable, authentic voice.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council asked us to produce a film supporting their new Hammersmith & Fulham Climate Bond film initiative. It’s designed to engage the local community in funding ecological projects. The client wanted a compelling story that explained benefits, encouraged participation, and showcased the council’s ambitious target of creating a carbon net zero borough by 2030.
Our brief was to make the content engaging, informative, and shareable while reflecting the council’s environmental values. To meet this, we created a film that highlighted how residents, local groups, businesses, and external investors could make a direct impact in their community while earning a fixed return on a low-risk investment. We emphasised the positive outcomes of the Climate Bond, demonstrating how the funds would support carbon reduction projects and foster community-led climate action. Sustainability was central to the production. We meticulously tracked and reduced emissions at every stage using the Ad Green Calculator. The team cycled to shoots, used an e-cargo bike for travelling footage, ate vegetarian meals on set, and powered our office with certified renewable energy.
This resulted in a total production footprint of just 0.018t CO2e—far below the industry average—reflecting our commitment to environmentally responsible filmmaking. The film played a key role in raising awareness and funding. The first round of the Climate Bond exceeded expectations, reaching £1 million ahead of schedule. The success of this campaign underlined the power of film to communicate complex initiatives, inspire community participation, and reinforce the council’s commitment to sustainability. The project continues to support the second round of funding, demonstrating the enduring value of strategic, purpose-driven video content in promoting climate action and civic engagement.

Client Brief
The World Health Organisation commissioned us to produce a film that empowers people living with disabilities, and amplifies disability inclusion to be shared on their social channels. The film needed to highlight both physical barriers, like access to health facilities, and social challenges, such as discrimination.
Our Approach
With a tight budget (WHO has been suffering severe budget cuts for reasons we all know about..) we had to think of innovative ways to bring the story to life. With no filming possible we relied on library stock-shots and footage provided by the WHO. The key thing was to feature voices of real people living with different disabilities. So we worked on a strong script which we sent out across the WHO to receive submissions.
Impact and Results
“I just wanted to say a big thank you for the excellent WHO video you produced on disability inclusion. It’s being used far and wide by the organization!

It’s not often we get to see our film shown on the big screen – let alone at the heart of London in Piccadilly Circus. Actor Colin McFarlane managed to secure a unique opportunity for our campaign film, made with Annie Lennox, to be played to a bunch of unsuspecting tourists on a hot summer’s evening.
Supported by Led By Donkeys who set up a mobile speaker to play the our haunting re-recording of Annie Lennox’s song “WHY”, our emotional film was played on a loop for 10 minutes to the crowds. Regardless of where people came from, the injustice of the government’s handling of Windrush immigrants was palpable to people from around the world.

SINE Digital Brand Film
Client Brief
SINE Digital asked us to create a high-energy brand film that captured the spirit and vibrancy of their creative industry marketing agency. The client wanted a film that showcased staff enthusiasm, company culture, and the ethos driving the business. The goal was to produce authentic advocacy through the voices of the employees themselves.
Our Approach
From inquiry to delivery, we filmed the project in just one week. On Wednesday, we visited SINE Digital for a recce, meeting the team and identifying strong filming locations. We then created a quick script and brief on site. Our in-house team prepared the equipment to start filming the next day.
We coordinated the day to capture key moments that highlighted team dynamics. We set up an upstairs interview area, giving everyone a platform to speak from the heart while reducing setup time. Meanwhile, a second camera operator filmed daily activities downstairs using a variety of camera setups to capture the energy of the workplace.
Post-Production and Impact
In post-production, we transcribed 25 interviews and selected the best clips to create a cohesive story. We intercut footage, added dynamic music, and worked closely with the client to refine messaging. The final film presents SINE Digital authentically, showcasing both the staff and the company culture.
Results
The resulting brand film highlights genuine employee advocacy and the energetic, creative spirit of SINE Digital. By putting the spotlight on the people behind the brand, the film communicates authenticity and passion. Staff engagement shines on camera, proving that employees are the strongest advocates a company can have.
