When we got the call to make a film about normalising testing for COVID-19 around the world, we leapt to the challenge.
Storyboarding, working with three filming crews (including actors, locations, costume etc..) in India, Estonia and Kenya, the result is ‘Normalise: Behind The Scenes’, which we filmed using a series of sequences to highlight what lives could be like if we all knew our status at any given moment in the day.

With COVID-19 and social distancing, trying to film a fireside chat sounds like an impossible task. But when FICO came to us wanting to recreate the look and feel over a cosy two way chat via Zoom, we knew this was a challenge we could step to.
In collaboration with an agency in the US, we organised two remote shoots to happen simultaneously, one in San Diego and Michigan, all directed from our office here in London.

Let’s face it, a lot of us are still working from home, and may be for a long time. This doesn’t mean we can’t be outputting engaging and interesting video content. However, filming in a home set up can be daunting, especially when you have little experience. This is where the Cloud9 Filming From Home guide is here to help.
Covering everything from how to light yourself, sound, and tips and tricks to look professional in front of the camera, this comprehensive guide should be all you need to start producing video content, and look great while you do it.

Covid-19 might have hit us all pretty hard, but there are still many opportunities to keep growing and learning.
We love to share our expertise with other people, and Steve had the chance to do just that when he chatted with ISNTD during their online lecture series. Steve talks his journey as a storyteller, the importance of telling the stories of people affected by NTDs, and gives a roadmap of how the tell the most powerful story possible.
Connecting with people in on online forum is doubly important these days, as is the need for compassionate and respectful storytelling. For more details about the talks and lectures, check out the ISNTD Connect website.
