Continuing our partnership with Marriott, we had the chance to make a film for Liam Brown, the new President and Managing Director in Europe for Marriott International, introducing himself to 43,000 associates.
Using a combination of fun, quick-fire questions and a more formal interview straight down the lens, we got to know Liam, from his vision for Marriott’s next chapter, to his guilty pleasures.
Working with a simple 3 person crew plus director, and the full participation of the fantastic St Pancras Renaissance hotel staff, we went to work capturing Liam in his element, doing what he does best – connecting with his people and bringing them together.

One of a series of films that we conceived, shot and edited, as part of a global campaign to launch Marriott‘s loyalty programme Bonvoy.
We had the pleasure of making 5 behind the scenes films (2 in the UK, 1 in Budapest, 2 in Istanbul), documenting photographer Rankin as he captured a variety of the good and the great who have seen love blossom thanks to Marriott’s luxury hotels.
Across the campaign there were 183 million opportunities created to see our material.

Don’t be fooled – being interviewed is never easy.
So the key to getting someone comfortable in an interview is to not dive in with the hard-hitting questions. If your interviewee is nervous or not used to being in front of a camera, asking them basic questions and getting them chatting is the perfect way to warm them up. Our go-to?: what did you have for breakfast.
As it turns out, we’ve asked this a lot so we thought it would be a fitting tribute to a well-trod question to make a compilation of some of our favourite answers (with a few familiar Cloud9 faces!).

This short film is part of a suite of films created for Marriott International to run on International Women’s Day.
Brought from around the world, we interviewed three successful women from across the business at their luxurious Hyde Park Towers, to hear about their rise to power and the continued support they have received from this “family” based organisation.
