Associate Appreciation Week
Every year Associate Appreciation Week is a red-letter event for every member of Marriott’s 200,000 + staff.
In a bid to give a more democratic overview of what makes it great to be part of this large workforce we took our Instabooth to hotels in London and Frankfurt to capture the beating heart of what drives Marriott International.

Marriott: International Women’s Day
This short film part of a suite of films created for Marriott International to run on International Women’s Day this year. Brought from around the world, we interviewed three successful women from across the business at their luxurious Hyde Park Towers, to hear about their rise to power and the continued support they have received from this “family” based organisation.
Love & Loyalty with Rankin
One of a series of films that we conceived, shot and edited, as part of a global campaign to launch Marriott’s loyalty programme Bonvoy. We had the pleasure of making 5 behind the scenes films (2 in the UK, 1 in Budapest, 2 in Istanbul), documenting photographer Rankin as he captured a variety of the good and the great who have seen love blossom thanks to Marriott’s luxury hotels.
Across the campaign there were 183 million opportunities created to see our material.
Together We Can: Marriott Serve 360
With a large part of Marriott International’s workforce made up of young people, this global organisation has recognised the importance of pulling people together via their passions – for sustainable business, for driving change and having a positive lasting impact.
This film sits on their internal website reaching over 225,000 people.
Lead by CEO Liam Brown, using B-roll from a wider project for Marriott’s sustainability drive, and a simple graphic package.
Liam Brown: Welcome to Europe
Continuing our partnership with Marriott, Cloud9Media had the chance to make a film for Liam Brown, the new President and Managing Director in Europe for Marriott International, introducing himself to 43,000 associates.
Using a combination of fun, quick-fire questions and a more formal interview straight down the lens, we got to know Liam, from his vision for Marriott’s next chapter, to his guilty pleasures.
Working with a simple 3 person crew plus director, and the full participation of the fantastic St Pancras Renaissance hotel staff, we went to work capturing Liam in his element, doing what he does best – connecting with his people and bringing them together.
World of Opportunity: Ruksana’s story
As part of our on-going relationship with Marriott, we were commissioned to create this film around Ruksana, a young woman who went from wondering what to do with limited opportunities, to a highly successful career through the World of Opportunity program with Marriott and Prince’s Trust.
As a champion of equal opportunities and young people, Marriott came to us directly to bring Ruksana’s empowering story to life, through our compassionate and people-focused story-telling.
We produced a longer film for their intranet and a 1-minute version for Instagram.
