Arts & Culture
Art is the glue that binds our culture.
Cloud9Media believes that art has the power to connect and unite humanity more than any other medium. It tells stories, broadens horizons, and brings us closer together.
We have built partnerships with a wide range of creative talent from around the world, growing a community that allows us to reach new heights in story-telling.
Understanding culture helps us understand each other, which is why we are so passionate about telling stories about creativity and innovation. If you have a creative project that you’d like to share with the world, get in touch to see how we can help.

When the fintech company FICO requested a film that would kick their annual conference off with a bang, they took a leap of faith with this one.
And it paid off.
From commissioning two talented dancers, to bespoke music and a script that tied the evolution of AI to the present day, we created an art-piece that received standing ovations amongst a 1400 strong audience and established the metaphor of AI as a dance that became the central theme for this four day conference in New York.

Filmed during lockdown in two sittings not too far apart before the kids grew up, we made this film to capture a brilliant new concept.
Playhood combines a top-class Montessori nursery with a professional workspace all in one – allowing parents and children to bring their whole selves to work. We all need a chance to develop as rounded people whether we’re kids or adults!

Let’s face it, a lot of us are still working from home, and may be for a long time. This doesn’t mean we can’t be outputting engaging and interesting video content. However, filming in a home set up can be daunting, especially when you have little experience. This is where the Cloud9 Filming From Home guide is here to help.
Covering everything from how to light yourself, sound, and tips and tricks to look professional in front of the camera, this comprehensive guide should be all you need to start producing video content, and look great while you do it.

We’re all spending a lot more time at home these days (for some of us, all of our time), but we still need to be able to produce content. Sure, your laptop camera in a dimly lit room might do the trick in a pinch, but if you want to know how to make your films look snazzy from your living room, Cloud9 has your back.

When we got the call to make a film about normalising testing for COVID-19 around the world, we leapt to the challenge.
Storyboarding, working with three filming crews (including actors, locations, costume etc..) in India, Estonia and Kenya, the result is ‘Normalise: Behind The Scenes’, which we filmed using a series of sequences to highlight what lives could be like if we all knew our status at any given moment in the day.

With COVID-19 and social distancing, trying to film a fireside chat sounds like an impossible task. But when FICO came to us wanting to recreate the look and feel over a cosy two way chat via Zoom, we knew this was a challenge we could step to.
In collaboration with an agency in the US, we organised two remote shoots to happen simultaneously, one in San Diego and Michigan, all directed from our office here in London.

Don’t be fooled – being interviewed is never easy.
So the key to getting someone comfortable in an interview is to not dive in with the hard-hitting questions. If your interviewee is nervous or not used to being in front of a camera, asking them basic questions and getting them chatting is the perfect way to warm them up. Our go-to?: what did you have for breakfast.
As it turns out, we’ve asked this a lot so we thought it would be a fitting tribute to a well-trod question to make a compilation of some of our favourite answers (with a few familiar Cloud9 faces!).
