Cloud9Media were brought in to provide creative integrity to Marriott International’s internal communications, following their recent merger with Starwood Hotels. As an organisation that prides itself on its family values, it was a perfect fit.
One of a series of films that we conceived, shot and edited, as part of a global campaign to launch Marriott’s loyalty programme Bonvoy. We had the pleasure of making 5 behind the scenes films (2 in the UK, 1 in Budapest, 2 in Istanbul), documenting photographer Rankin as he captured a variety of the good and the great who have seen love blossom thanks to Marriott’s luxury hotels.
Across the campaign there were 183 million opportunities created to see our material.
Continuing our partnership with Marriott, Cloud9Media had the chance to make an introductory video for Liam Brown, the new President and Managing Director in Europe for Marriott International. Using a combination of fun, quick-fire questions and a more formal interview, we got to know Liam, from his goals for Marriott’s next chapter to his guilty pleasure. Using talented freelancers and new, exciting tech for this film gave Cloud9Media the scope to experiment with filming styles and ensured that Marriott got a slick, high quality film that will give all their employees and partners a fantastic introduction to Liam.
As part of our on-going relationship with Marriott, we were commissioned to create this film around Ruksana, a young woman who went from wondering what to do with limited opportunities, to a highly successful career through the World of Opportunity program with Marriott and Prince’s Trust.
As a champion of equal opportunities and young people, Marriott came to us directly to bring Ruksana’s empowering story to life, through our compassionate and people-focused story-telling.
We produced a longer film for their intranet and a 1-minute version for Instagram.
